A better way can lead to a better day..
How is your day like?
Waking up early in the morning
Involved in a dozen daily activities – physical and mental
Travel, meetings, domestic chores…..
Time zone issues as you trot the globe
A part of you is always in demand by your work teams, family, neighbors, relatives and friends.
Each time you are involved in those physical activities, it is your nervous system that is responsible to perform the task.
How often do you need to take those deep breaths?
Our body function is controlled by the Central Nervous System (CNS) which consists of brain and spinal cord. The CNS integrates all information received and then coordinates the activity. The Peripheral Nervous System (PNS) contains the sensory nerves and motor nerves.
Sensory nerves collect the information and provide them to spinal cord and brain. Similarly motor nerves carry the information to the other parts of the body.
It is important to know the nervous system of our body, as it helps us to understand our senses. The PNS is having Sympathetic System and Parasympathetic system.
Sympathetic system responds to dangers. It gives either fight or flight response. Parasympathetic system works opposite to sympathetic system. Sudden anxiety is responsible to bring panic in the form of hyper tension, faster heart beat, blood pressure with increase of adrenaline. Parasympathetic system now constricts pupil, slows heart beat and dilate blood vessels, thus bringing body to normal condition.
The nervous system constantly learns, adjusts changes in order to listen to what we want our body to do. When a person is undergoing rigorous workout to reduce his weight, his nervous system listens to what he wants from his body and responds accordingly. The nervous system adapts the new situation. But with this it also has to recover and rest. Otherwise, fatigue of CNS will lead to muscle fatigue and thus injury.
This way body masters the new activity and readies it for new challenges.
It is very important to soothe your senses once in a while.
